VellFire.Ai is the trading platform you build yourself: write your rules in plain English, test any idea honestly in minutes, and trade with an AI coach that holds you to them. Claude customises every page for you.
One low-cost platform instead of a stack of expensive ones: scanning, backtesting, order flow, replay and coaching in one place, using your own broker, data and AI at cost, with no platform mark-up on data.
This is v0.2, a prototype for friends to try. It trades on paper only: no real orders are ever sent to a broker.
VellFireAi_Setup.exe.Demo data is simulated prices for made-up stocks (DEMO1 to DEMO5), so you can try everything before connecting anything. A striped DEMO banner shows while it's on; click Connect my broker on it any time. Each trading day starts with a Today's risk check: click Start trading with these limits.
To connect IBKR: open TWS or IB Gateway and log in to your paper account. In TWS: File > Global Configuration > API > Settings: tick "Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients" (port 7497). VellFire only reads prices from IBKR; your trades are VellFire's own paper fills.
Optional keys (stored only on your computer): Claude (console.anthropic.com) for every Claude feature (free in VellFire; you pay Anthropic for what you use);
Massive (massive.com, formerly Polygon.io) for more price history; Finnhub (finnhub.io, free) for earnings dates and news.
Uninstall any time from Windows Settings > Apps; your own data stays in %LOCALAPPDATA%\VellFireAi.
arm64 file; older Intel Macs: x86_64.)~/Library/Application Support/VellFireAi.VellFireAi_Portable_v0.3.9.exe is the whole app in one file: nothing is installed. Put it in any folder (a USB stick works) and double-click it; it unpacks for a few seconds behind a splash screen, then opens. Your settings and journal live in a "VellFire Data" folder next to the file (or in %LOCALAPPDATA%\VellFireAi if that folder can't be written to; Setup shows which). To remove it, delete the file and that folder. Windows may warn about an unknown app the first time (it isn't code-signed yet): if Smart App Control blocks it, use the installer instead.
C > AVGC50 AND C1 <= AVGC50). You confirm the rules, then it backtests your watchlist on daily bars with costs, against random entries, first half vs second half. PASS only if it averages +0.15R or better after costs, both halves are positive and it beats random.Pro: let Claude build it for you. In the Coach, ask in plain English ("build me a screen for stocks up 5% on twice their volume", "add a market rule: QQQ above its 20-day", "lower my max trades to 3"). Claude proposes each change as a card; nothing changes until you click Add, and "Undo last change" puts it back. It can never place orders, raise your risk or widen your trading hours.
VellFire never gives buy or sell signals. Claude's View, the stock checks and the market checks are a checklist of your own rules: "✓ Fits your rules", "◐ Partly fits" or "✗ Doesn't fit your rules", each rule shown as met, not met or unknown with the numbers behind it, plus plain facts (how far price is from your level, what your stop and risk in $ would be, how much room there is). Your decision. Not advice.
Your data stays on your computer. VellFire has no servers and the developer stores nothing: no account, no trades, no keys. Claude, IBKR and data requests go directly from your PC to those services using your own accounts. VellFire only connects to the services you configure.
The only connections VellFire makes are the ones you set up: Anthropic (Claude, with your key), IBKR TWS / Gateway on your own computer, IG's demo server if you choose IG on the Brokers page (demo accounts only, never live), the data providers whose keys you add (Massive, Alpaca, Tiingo, Twelve Data, FRED, Finnhub, and any of your own sources added on the Data feeds page: each key is only sent to the web address you typed for it), SEC EDGAR if you switch it on, public news sites if you switch them on, web widgets and X only inside panels you add, ntfy / your Gmail only if you turn on phone or email alerts, and an update address only if one is set later. There is no VellFire server, no analytics and no tracking. The "☕ Support" button just opens a web page in your browser when you click it.
Data feeds › + Add any data source connects any provider with a JSON web API: type its web address with {symbol} {from} {to} {interval} {key}, say how the key is sent, press Test to see the raw reply for SPY, and map the fields (or let Claude map them from a sample). Price-bar sources join your fallback order. Every card also takes a key now, even sources marked "coming later". + Add (left of the Ask Claude bar, on every page) adds charts, X feeds, web widgets, notes, your watchlist, alerts, or a whole VellFire feature (Trade, Screener, Journal, Replay…) to the page you are on; New blank page… makes your own tab. Or just ask Claude: "add an X feed for @name here".
Everything you make in VellFire (rules, journal, screens, charts, settings) lives in your own data folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VellFireAi on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/VellFireAi on a Mac. It is never inside the program folder, so installing, updating or removing VellFire never touches it. A backup is made every day and before every update (the last 14 are kept), and in Settings › Your data and backups you can back up now, restore, and have each backup copied to your own OneDrive / Google Drive / Dropbox / iCloud Drive folder. Your API keys are left out of backups unless you switch them in. A restore never loosens your risk limits.
VellFire is free. If it helps you, the ☕ Support button (top bar, or the Upgrades page) lets you buy the developer a coffee. No pressure: you'll see a small reminder at most once a month.
14-day free trial, then a licence key (free during the beta: just email us). Every feature is in the trial. When it ends, email brewsterhomeservices@gmail.com with your machine code (Setup › Licence) and paste the key you get back in Setup. Until then your data (view, export, back up, delete), your risk controls, Setup, the Guide and closing or cancelling paper trades always stay available. Nothing is ever deleted.
